For Immediate Release
The Asterisk Mobile Medical Center would like to thank the Road 2 Recovery Foundation for the second time in 2014. Their most recent contribution is a new patient acuity system to better diagnose and manage patient status. We had wanted to upgrade our older unit for several years and now, with the assistance of R2R, this new, state-of-the-art Patient Monitor will be on-board at this year’s Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas on October 18.
Dr. John Bodnar, the Medical Director for the AMMC explained, “With the new system, we will be able to continuously monitor patient’s vital signs, including Blood Pressure, Heart Rate and Rhythm, Oxygen Saturation and now, with the added benefit of real-time Body Temperature readings. This is the exact same system that I use in the Emergency Department of my hospital in San Diego.” Doc with our new Acuity Monitor Photo by S. Cox

Jimmy Button added, “All of us at Road 2 Recovery recognize the value of the AMMC and the peace of mind it provides all of the racers and their families. We are once again very happy that we can contribute to AMMC and provide new equipment, that will allow the doctors and nurses to better perform their job of helping our riders.”We appreciate R2R’s support of our program and that they share our commitment to provide the best trackside medical care to our racing community. We look forward to serving our professional athletes during the Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series.
